MILK THISTLE (Silybum marianum) - ORAL
USES: Milk thistle friut has been used for liver disease. Some herbal/diet suplpement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmcaist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed this product for saftey or effectiveness.

HOW TO USE: Take this product by muoth as directed. Follow all direcitons on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, conuslt your doctor or pharmacist.
If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a sreious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Loose stools (mild laxaitve effect) may sometimes occur. Notify your doctor if this effect persists or woresns. If you notice other effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor before using this product: liver problems (acute toxic liver disease, chronic inflammatory liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver), stomach/intestinal problems (e.G., inflammatory or irritable bowel syndrome). Liquid preparations of this product may conatin sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol deepndence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmcaist about the safe use of this product. This product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using this product, tell your dcotor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Keep all appointments for mdeical or laboratory tests.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you reemmber. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the msised dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
